The Sleep Coaching InstituteĀ®
A collective of clinicians, educators, and specialists united by one mission: making sleep health a standard part of everyone's care.
Not all sleep coaching is created equal.Ā

We're not one entity. We're a collective.
Sleep Coaching Institute was built by professionals from different disciplines united by one conviction: that sleep health belongs at the center of every person's care journey. Our medical advisory board includes sleep medicine physicians, neurologists, physical therapists, and spinal rehabilitation specialists. We brought together experts who believe sleep isn't owned by one profession — and neither is the solution.
We didn't build SCI to add another wellness certification to the market. We built it to establish professional standards in a field that had none. We're approved by the Board of Certification, National Academy of Sports Medicine, and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America — the same organizations that credential fitness professionals, athletic trainers, and rehabilitation specialists across the country. Additional credentialing approvals currently in progress.
Medical schools devote fewer than two hours to sleep education on average. Most physicians graduate without the tools to address one of their patients' most pressing health concerns. Sleep coaching is transitioning from a wellness luxury into an essential, recognized part of modern healthcare.
OUR MISSION
Sleep Coaching Institute exists to bridge a critical gap in healthcare. While sleep dysfunction underlies chronic pain, metabolic disease, mental health conditions, and recovery from injury, it remains largely unaddressed at the coaching and allied health level. We are changing that — not just for professionals, but for everyone.
A Systems-Based Approach to Sleep
At the core of SCI's work is the understanding that sleep is not a single behavior or intervention, but a 24-hour system influenced by biology, environment, posture, and daily habits. SCI education is built around a structured, multi-system model that helps learners understand how these factors interact and how to address sleep challenges at their root.
Rather than offering generic advice or one-size-fits-all solutions, SCI programs emphasize assessment, pattern recognition, and applied strategies that can be tailored to individual needs while remaining within appropriate professional scope.
Education Designed for Application
SCI develops training for both wellness professionals and everyday individuals seeking a deeper, more structured understanding of sleep and recovery. Whether you are a fitness professional, athletic trainer, nurse, or simply someone who wants to take control of your own sleep health, our programs are practical, accessible, and grounded in current research — with a strong emphasis on implementation rather than theory alone.
Coursework integrates circadian rhythm and sleep timing, sleep drive regulation, environmental support, sleep posture and ergonomics, and cognitive-behavioral coaching principles. Together, these elements form a comprehensive framework that supports consistent improvement.
